This paper studies the historic drive for health
promotion that led to the Framework Convention on Tobacco Control in 2003 and the Bangkok Charter
in 2005. The contribution of these documents to the
promotion of safety and health in industrial settings will
be examined and the limitations will be presented.
Presenter – Dr. Nader Nassif
Dr. Nader Nassif hold a PhD in Health Education and Promotion from The University of Alabama at Birmingham. He has been actively involved in the health promotion scene in the Middle East, particularly as an expert in evaluation where he has collaborated with agencies such as the International Federation of Red Cross Red Crescent Societies, the World Health Organization and the United Nations Population Fund as well as the International Union for Health Promotion and Education.
