The ability to ensure process safety at a facility is
influenced by many things: like employing appropriate
design and construction, foreseeing the effects of
external circumstances, understanding and dealing
with human behavior, getting high reporting of
near misses, and most importantly having effective
management systems.
Presenter – Mr. Mahmoud H. Tamer
Mahmoud is the safety engineer in Eastern Region Distribution Department in Saudi Aramco. Mahmoud is experienced as professional consultant and trainer with more than 27 years in association with renowned international and local organizations in various disciplines. His career in the field of HS&E centered around organizations like IBM, Southern Technology, N.J Department of Environmental Protection, S.B. Group, Amiantit Group of Companies, and Saudi Aramco. He has a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering, a Master Degree in Electrical Engineering, and a Master Degree in Occupational Health and Safety Engineering. He has been involved in numerous projects in the HS&E fields, especially the Process Safety Management (PSM) in the petrochemical and other related industries.
