Chemical Security Vulnerability/Risk Assessments By Mr. David Moore Session# 3 Monday February 22, 2010
10:30 - 11:30
As the global economic downturn strains budgets
worldwide, the frequency and intensity of security
issues facing petroleum and petrochemical assets
continue to increase, from terrorism to piracy to theft.
How can the persons responsible for protecting these
assets ensure that funding for security is spent wisely,
allocated correctly, and justified to management?
Threat-based security vulnerability assessments (SVA)
and risk-based performance metrics have emerged as
prudent concepts to help select and implement the
most appropriate protective measures and practices
