Advances in Quantitative Risk Analysis
By Mr. Neil Prophet
Session# 3
Monday February 22, 2010

11:10 - 11:50

Until recently, the level of detail of a Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA) study has been limited by the availability of high speed computing resources. Results for coarse QRA studies were typically presented in terms of overall individual risk, or societal risk, with little opportunity to segment or analyze the risk results in more details. This presentation discusses how a basic QRA can now be enhanced to include more detailed segmentation of risk results, or easily expanded to include a detailed facility siting analysis.
