More than 32,000 professional members

|

The American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) is an independent and non-profit professional
organization. It has more than 32,000 professional members who manage, supervise and consult
on safety, health, and environmental issues in industry, insurance, government and education. The
ASSE mission is to foster the technical, scientific, managerial and ethical knowledge, skills and
competency of SH&E professionals for the protection of people, property, and the environment.
The Middle East Chapter (ASSE-MEC) was the first chapter established outside the United States in 1982
and since then has held several conferences and technical meetings in the Gulf region. These conferences and
meetings have attracted many well known international speakers, a variety of exhibitors, as well as a large number of
attendees. The broad range of subjects addressed, the sharing of knowledge among delegates, and the resulting discussions
made these conferences a success. ASSE-MEC is committed to hold a conference every other year to promote SH&E in the
Gulf Region.
