On a special night the ASSE-MEC honored and bid farewell to one pioneer of industrial safety in Saudi Aramco, Abdullah Mesfer Al-Ghamdi, on the occasion of his retirement from service after more than 35 years in Saudi Aramco in different departments, concludeding in Safety & Industrial Security where he supported ASSE-MEC by his guidance, advice and personal attendance at ASSE-MEC programs and activities.

The event was organized and sponsored by ASSE-MEC and the Society of Fire Protection Engineers-Saudi Arabia Chapter (SFPE-SAC) where they had a gala dinner at Le Meridien Hotel, Al Khobar on May 18,2009. EngineerTariq S. Al-Ghamdi, ASSE-MEC President, inaugurated the event with a special speech where he expressed his pleasure at the ceremony to honor one of the symbols of safety in the region ("Mr. Abdullah Mesfer") for outstanding support to ASSE-MEC. Tariq also shared some stories about the support Mr. Mesfer provided to ASSE-MEC. At the end of his speech, Tariq wished for Mr. Mesfer's happy life after retirement.

Following this, engineer Ali Mokhtar, SFPE-SAC) expressed his thanks to Mr. Abdullah Mesfer for his support to SFPE-SAC since its establishment in Saudi Arabia.

After that,Tariq and Ali presented a special gift to Mr. Mesfer on behalf of the ASSE-MEC & SFPA-SAC and the ceremony was concluded with dinner.
