2010 Chapter Symposium July 01, 2010 The Ritz Carlton Hotel, Bahrain
The American Society of Safety Engineers-Middle East Chapter (ASSE-MEC) held its Professional Development Symposium at the Ritz Carlton Hotel, Bahrain. Over 150 chapter members and other safety professionals, senior executives and management from major oil, gas, petro-chemical and construction corporations together with government regulatory authority representatives from Saudi Arabia and Bahrain attended this event. The following topics were presented:

The symposium started by the Installation Ceremony of the chapter’s newly elected officers. Mr. Nassir Al-Jurashi (Saudi Aramco Loss Prevention Division Head) presented the 2010-2012 Nomination Committee Report and announced the names of the elected officers:

Then Hammed Kassem (Saudi Aramco Loss Prevention Manager) honored the Middle East Chapter by installing the newly elected officers and congratulated them. He also reminded the officers to fulfill their new responsibilities and achieve the ASSE objective which is to promote the advancement of the safety profession and foster the professional well-being and development of its members.
Then on behalf of ASSE-MEC Mr. Kassem honored the Bahrain Ministry of Interior and private organization on their contribution during the 9th PDC&E in February, 2010
