Emergency Response & Crisis Management Plan

Introduction

This course will explore the nature of aviation the nature of crisis management and recovery from the perspective of managers responsible for implementing Emergency Response Plans and maintaining capability. Delegates will explore the nature of risk and the steps required to develop effective crisis management plans. The skills of crisis management will be rehearsed in a series of desktop exercises and the nature of organizational learning will be explored through case studies. 

Target Audience

Executive Management – General Managers - Area Managers - Process Engineers - Project Engineers – PSM Coordinator - EH&S Managers / Engineers – emergency response team.

Dr. William Pomfret
Dr. Pomfret is a best-selling author, speaker and dynamic presenter, who has traveled the world educating and motivating management and employees to adopt effective health, safety and risk control policies; practices and procedures that prevent or mitigate human, economic and environmental losses from adverse occupational exposures. Bill has developed and implemented many Occupational Health Safety and Environmental models and was a visiting Professor who has taught safety practices and procedures at McGill University as well as many other universities around the world. He has been in the Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental system development-consulting and auditing field for over forty years. Dr. Pomfret designed and developed the International 5 Star Health and Safety Management System™ in 1978; later he produced Industry specific modules for construction, marine, aviation, oil and gas and mining, and he has conducted more OH&S audits than anyone in the world, having audited in over 40 countries. He started his career with Imperial Chemical Industries (ICI) and then spent many years in the offshore oil industry where he received his doctorate in education and his masters in occupational safety and health while a native of the U.K. from Aston University Bill is actively involved in presenting “Train The Trainer” programs on any specific Occupational Health, Safety or Loss Control subject or standard for many of the world’s Fortune 500 companies and for many other clients around the globe, and has a personal interest in the development of, and practical training in, Emergency Response & Crisis Management Planning Bill is a fellow of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (UK) a certified seminar leader in the U.S.A. and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Health (UK), in addition to being certified in Canada, the USA, India, and South Africa and is a Registered Safety Professional in his native Britain. He has been a keynote speaker at most International conferences in North America, U.K. Australasia, South Africa and the middle and far east and is considered by many to be one of the world’s most innovative and dynamic professionals, willing to share what he has learnt over almost a half century.
